X-Men Hockey goaltender Joseph Raaymakers was named STFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 20, 2022. Joseph, a fourth year Human Kinetics student from Chatham, ON backstopped the X-Men to two overtime victories over SMU to sweep their AUS semifinal series 2-0, advancing to the AUS final and booked a spot at the U SPORTS national championship. Joe was player of the game in Friday’s 2-1 overtime win at home with 24 saves, and was solid in the X net again Sunday in their 3-2 overtime win in Halifax with 17 saves. He had a .896 save percentage and 3.17 GGA with a 14-4-0 record in regular season play this year for the 2nd place X-Men.
