X-Women soccer forward Amanda Smith was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 20, 2019. Amanda, a second year Human Kinetics student from Ottawa, Ont. scored three goals in two weekend games. In StFX’s 3-2 win over nationally ranked CBU on Friday night, Amanda scored 2 goals, including the game-winner and earned player of the game honours. She followed up by scoring the X-Women’s first goal in Sunday’s 2-2 tie with Memorial. She currently leads the AUS in points (15), is tied for first in the AUS in goals scored (11), and is third in the nation.
