X-Men hockey forward Matt Needham was named the StFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 14, 2018. Matt, a second year Business student from Penticton, BC received player of the game honors in the X-Men’s 5-2 win over UPEI on Friday night, scoring 2 goals and adding an assist. He also played a strong game in the X-Men’s close 2-1 shootout loss to UNB on Saturday night. One point shy of first place, Matt is currently second overall in team scoring for the U SPORTS No. 1 ranked X-Men, and 9th overall in the AUS with 25 points on the season, including 11 goals and 14 assists.
