X-Women soccer forward Kelsey Ellis was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 10, 2017. Kelsey, a third year Human Kinetics student from Ottawa, Ont. had steady play up front for the X-Women in two weekend wins. Saturday the defending AUS champion X-Women shut-out UPEI by a 4-0 score and Kelsey scored the first two X-Women goals of the game, including one only 20 seconds in. She played another strong game Saturday in their 2-1 victory over SMU.
