X-Men football defensive back Hayden Peters was named the StFX Male Co-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 25, 2015. Hayden, a fourth year Human Kinetics student from Inverary, ON helped lead a strong defensive effort in the X-Men’s 7-5 win over Acadia on Saturday, launching them into second place. He led all tacklers in the game with seven tackles (five solo and four assisted) and had an interception return for 11 yards on the final play of the game. Hayden is currently sixth overall in AUS tackles with 32.5 and leads the AUS in interceptions this season with three.
X-Men hockey forward Eric Locke was named the StFX Male Co-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 25, 2015. Eric, a third year Human Kinetics student (2nd yr eligibility) from Toronto, ON scored five points in two games this week. In StFX’s 5-3 win over CIS No. 3 Saint Mary’s on Wednesday, Eric scored two goals, then he followed up with a three-point night in their 5-4 overtime win over Dalhousie on Friday. Eric scored a power play goal and had 2 assists including a helper on the game winning goal in overtime. He currently leads the AUS scoring race early in the season with nine points (5 goals and 4 assists).
