X-Women rugby No. 8 Anna Horner was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 29, 2019. Anna, a fourth year Human Kinetics student from Stouffville, Ont. was the player of the game in StFX’s 38-14 win over U SPORTS ranked No. 5 ranked Acadia. Anna was the X-Women’s leading tackler and leading ball carrier in the game. After being down 14-5 at halftime, Anna scored the first try of the second half for X that initiated a comeback victory and 33 unanswered points, improving the StFX record to 4-0.
