X-Women track & field runner Jane Hergett was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 9, 2020. Jane, a third year Nursing student from Port Williams, NS ran to a pair of first place finishes at the SMU Open in Halifax on Sunday. Jane set a new school record in the 600m, finishing with a time of 1:33.89 atop the field of 12 competitors. She also placed first overall in the 3000m race, bettering the field of 19 with a time of 10:05.94. Jane is currently ranked in the top 10 in Canada in four events including the 600m, 1000m, 1500m, and 4x800m, and is in the top 20 rankings for the 3000m event.
