X-Men basketball point guard Davonte Provo was named the StFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 26, 2017. Davonte, a fourth year Arts student (5th year eligibility) from East Preston, NS received player of the game honours in both games the X-Men played this weekend in two key wins. In Friday’s 80-78 victory over Acadia, Davonte scored 16 points and had 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals, then turned in a 20 point effort in Saturday’s 108-99 win over Cape Breton. He also added 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals in Saturday’s game. He is currently averaging 9.3 points/game and 4.7 rebounds/game.
