X-Women hockey forward Kate Gotaas was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Mar. 4, 2018. Kate, a second year Arts student from Sherwood Park, AB had three points in the X-Women’s two playoff games this week. In Friday’s 4-2 loss to SMU in Game 1 of the AUS final, Kate scored both StFX goals, both coming unassisted. In Sunday’s 2-1 overtime win in Game 2, she assisted on the game winning goal. As a sophomore, Kate had 7 points in regular season play this year for the X-Women, 4 goals and 3 assists.
