X-Men basketball forward Kevin Bercy was named co-winner of the StFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Mar. 4, 2018. Kevin, a 4th year Business student (5th year eligibility) from Kanata, ON was named a tournament all-star at the AUS championship this weekend as he posted double-double numbers in all 3 X-Men games. In the quarterfinal win Friday over Acadia, Kevin scored a team-high 20 points and had 10 rebounds, 6 assists & 3 steals. In Saturday’s semifinal win over DAL, he netted 17 points and added 13 rebounds & 2 assists, followed up by a team-high 33 points in the AUS final in a close loss to UNB Sunday. He also had 12 rebounds, 2 assists & 1 steal in the championship game.

Davonte, a 4th year Arts student (5th year eligibility) from East Preston, NS was named a tournament all-star at the AUS championship this weekend as he had a strong 3 games for the X-Men. In Friday’s quarterfinal win over Acadia, Davonte scored 17 points and had 8 rebounds, 4 assists & 2 steals. He followed up with an 11 point game in Saturday’s semifinal win over DAL, along with 2 rebounds, 4 assists & 1 steal. In Sunday’s final in a close loss to UNB, Davonte scored 18 points and had 6 rebounds, 7 assists & 3 steals.
