X-Men football receiver Kaion Grant was named the StFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 16, 2016. Kaion, a 2nd year Human Kinetics from Toronto, ON scored two touchdowns and was named Player of the Game in the X-Men’s 45-6 win over SMU. He had 80 and 65 yard TD catches in the second quarter and five receptions on the afternoon for 230 total yards. Kaion also had two kick-off returns (44 yds) and four punt returns (35 yds). He currently leads the AUS conference in receiving, averaging 122.2 yards/game, 23.5 yards/rec and 611 total yards. He is first in AUS all-purpose yards with 1090 and 218.0 yards/game.
