X-Women basketball forward Lindsay Lessard was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 10, 2016. Lindsay, a fourth year Human Kinetics student from Waterloo, ON was the player of the game in StFX’s 68-61 win over UNB Saturday night. She scored a game-high 27 points and had 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks in the game. In Friday’s loss to Dalhousie, Lindsay again led the team in scoring with 17 points, also recording 7 rebounds and 1 assist. She currently leads both the AUS and CIS in scoring, averaging 20.6 points per game.
