X-Women soccer forward Kelsey Ellis was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 27, 2015. Kelsey, a first year Human Kinetics student from Ottawa, ON played two strong games for the X-Women in recent weekend wins. In Friday’s 1-0 victory over CIS No. 10 Cape Breton, she had a key, penetrating run into the box that lead to a penalty kick and the X-Women’s only goal of the game. On Sunday Kelsey followed up by scoring StFX’s lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Mount A, launching the X-Women into a first place tie atop the AUS standings.
