X-Men hockey forward Michael Clarke was named the StFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Mar. 20, 2016. Michael, a first year Business student from Peterborough, ON was honored as a CIS tournament all-star as the X-Men claimed the CIS silver medal at this weekend’s national championship in Halifax. In the StFX’s 6-2 quarter-final win over Alberta on Thursday, Michael scored a hat trick, then followed up by scoring the game winning goal in a thrilling 2-1 triple overtime victory over Saskatchewan on Saturday night. He also earned player of the game honors in the semifinal match. With his four points he was second overall in tournament scoring.
