X-Women track & field sprinter Bridget Brennan was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 17, 2016. Bridget, a first year Education student (5th year eligibility) from Beechwood, NB won two events at the Athletics NS Indoor Open in Halifax on Sunday. She placed first in the 300m dash with a time of 41.09, and claimed top spot in the 60m hurdles, clocking in at 9.22. Bridget also came sixth overall in the 60m dash with a time of 8.13.
