X-Men track & field sprinter Mackenzie Munroe was named the StFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 8, 2015. Mackenzie, a fifth year Arts student (3rd year eligibility) from Yarmouth, NS set three personal bests and broke three StFX records at the SMU Open this weekend. He was the winner of both the 300m and 600m races, posting a personal best time of 35:52 in the 300m sprint and a time of 1:21.94 in the 600m race, also a personal best. Mackenzie then anchored the X-Men 4x400m relay team to a StFX record-breaking time of 3:24.42 and first place overall. The 4x400m team is now ranked in the top 10 in the country and Mackenzie is ranked in the top 15 in both the 300m and 600m events.
