X-Men track & field runner Bryden Tate was named the StFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Mar. 9, 2014. Bryden, a third year Business student from Heatherton, NS competed in two races at the CIS national championship this past weekend in Edmonton. In the 1000m event Bryden placed 10th overall, running a personal best time of 2:31.15. In the 1500m event he was 13th overall with a time of 4:02.72. Bryden was the AUS champion in both events and received AUS male track athlete of the year honors, in addition to being named the male MVP of the AUS meet.
