X-Women hockey goaltender Sojung Shin was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 2, 2014. Sojung, a first year Human Kinetics student from Seoul, Korea helped lead the CIS No. 8 X-Women to a 3-1 victory over Moncton on Saturday night, stopping 22 of 23 shots that came her way. She was within 1:08 of securing her fourth shutout of the season but Moncton scored a late power play goal. In 11 games played to date, Sojung has an 8-3 record and leads the AUS conference in save percentage (.924) and goals against average (1.48).
