X-Men hockey forward Jarrad Struthers was named the StFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 17, 2013. Jarrad, a third year Arts student from Glace Bay, NS tallied 5 points in two weekend wins for the X-Men and was the player of the game both evenings. In Friday night’s 6-5 overtime win over St. Thomas, Jarrad scored two goals and had one assist, while on Saturday night, he scored another two goals in StFX’s 4-1 win over CIS No. 6 UPEI, including the game winner. Jarrad is currently second overall in team scoring with 9 points on the season and is third in the AUS in goals scored (7).
