X-Women hockey forward Alex Normore was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 24, 2013. Alex, a fourth year Human Kinetics student from Bedford, NS scored 2 goals and had 4 assists in two weekend wins for the CIS No. 4 X-Women. In Friday’s 5-2 victory over Mount A, Alex picked up 2 assists, then registered 2 goals and 2 assists in their 5-2 win over Dalhousie on Saturday. Scoring 2 third period goals to put the game away against DAL, including one shorthanded marker, she was also named player of the game. In 10 games to date, Alex currently leads the country in scoring with 26 points (8 goals & 18 assists) for the AUS first place and undefeated X-Women.
